Cambridge College Alumna Appointed to Kennedy Krieger Institute Board of Directors

Watchen Harris Bruce

We are thrilled to announce that Watchen Harris Bruce, an esteemed alumna of Cambridge College, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the prestigious Kennedy Krieger Institute.

Ms. Bruce, a graduate of Cambridge College with a Master of Education degree in Business Administration and Management, brings with her over 35 years of invaluable experience in banking and economic development. Currently serving as the president and CEO of Baltimore Community Lending (BCL), Ms. Bruce has dedicated her career to empowering underserved communities in the Baltimore area by providing loans and technical assistance to small businesses and affordable housing developers.

Notably, in 2009, Ms. Bruce co-founded B’More Clubhouse, a groundbreaking psychosocial rehabilitation program that has been instrumental in offering employment, housing, and skills development opportunities for individuals grappling with mental illness.

Ms. Bruce's appointment to the Kennedy Krieger Institute Board of Directors is a testament to her unwavering commitment to fostering positive change and making a meaningful impact in the lives of others. Her exemplary leadership and dedication to community service reflect the core values instilled in all Cambridge College graduates.
