Doris Van Gorder brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role as Interim Dean of the School of Education and Counseling at Cambridge College. With 35 years of service as an educator and administrator in the Boston Public Schools, her journey in education spans decades of commitment to student success and inclusive practices.
Since joining the Cambridge College community as an adjunct professor in 2014, Doris has steadily progressed through various leadership roles, from Coordinator of Field Experience to Assistant and Associate Dean of Field Experiences and Licensure. Her transition to Interim Dean signifies her professional growth and dedication to fostering a collaborative community that prioritizes learner success through student-centered approaches, diversity, equity, and inclusivity.
Doris' professional interests lie in establishing and maintaining systems and structures that provide students with access to high-quality equitable instruction, feedback, and field experiences.
