Background
Dr. Roberto J. Rodríguez Santiago holds a Ed. D in Education with concentrations in higher education and organizational leadership from Nova Southeastern University (NSU). He has eighteen years of experience in the Department of Education of Puerto Rico where he has held several positions including teacher assistant, school health teacher, school health teaching facilitator, school director, special assistant, assistant secretary, operations manager of the school health program, Regional Superintendent of the Educational Region of Mayagüez and currently Regional Superintendent of the Educational Region of Ponce. He is the first regional superintendent in Puerto Rico to participate in the Thompson Executive Leadership Academy for superintendents of the State of Texas in its XXX phase. This academy enjoys great prestige for the performance of its graduates over the past thirty years. He is part of the faculty of Cambridge College Puerto Rico as an adjunct professor in the master's programs in health and school leadership, in addition to being part of the faculty of Nova Southeastern University. He was president of the local chapter of Exchange in the municipality of Yauco, an organization that distinguishes itself by offering community service.
