Background

Prof. William Zwemke is a part-time Senior Faculty member at Cambridge College, originally joining the school as an adjunct faculty member in 1994. He designed and constructed multiple online versions of the in-seat courses he taught, marketing, marketing management, digital marketing, strategic business planning, international business, and global business. He designed and constructed these courses across different systems, MyCC and Moodle. He also participated in the curriculum design and development of both graduate and undergraduate business programs.

Mr. Zwemke started his business career by working for several years in global trade for the German multinational firm Kuehne & Nagel, Inc. He then moved on to a position with a Cambridge-based trading company before moving to the manufacturing side of the industry at Tambrands Inc., the global producer of health and personal care items. At Tambrands, he held positions in international logistics, product, and project management and was responsible for all inbound and outbound distribution activities in U.S. and Canadian operations, serving customers and factories in over 120 countries. He also spent time working on process and organizational re-engineering projects for top management.

In the fall of 1997, Tambrands was acquired by Proctor & Gamble. After his role as a transition team member, Mr. Zwemke returned to the service sector as V.P. of Global Services at LGB Traffic Management Consultants, a firm specializing in traffic management and supply chain initiatives. After this, he joined Jamesbury Inc. as their Director of Supply Chain & Logistics. Jamesbury is an international manufacturer of process flow valves. His next move was with i2 Technologies in their New England mid-market practice, where he was a Sr. Consultant involved in implementing i2’s suite of software solutions and performing Strategic Opportunity Assessments for prospective accounts. His next endeavor was with FFP Global, a customer contact and value-added fulfillment services company. In his position as VP of Marketing & Business Development and VP of Marketing & Public Relations, he helped FFp grow domestically and internationally in the eCommerce and traditional fulfillment sectors.

Since 2006, Mr. Zwemke has been working as a strategic business consultant for a variety of businesses, helping companies develop products and services. Specialties include social media marketing, website development, supply chain and logistics, organizational and product/service development, start-up, growth, and acquisition. In addition to consulting, he has developed a residential/commercial property construction business.

Mr. Zwemke holds a Master's degree in Management, a BBA in Management from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst), and an AA in Business Administration from Greenfield Community College. He has been a frequent guest speaker at local colleges and universities on the general topic of global trade and business.
