Academic Advising

When students discuss plans and get advising along the way, there is a greater likelihood for success. At Cambridge College, you'll have access to skilled advisors, faculty and staff throughout your academic career.

Advisors work alongside program chairs, academic deans and office administrators to help provide information, arrange appropriate course schedules and build professional networks.

Cambridge College builds an academic advisor into each of our schools and programs:

  • In the School of Arts & Sciences, the Undergraduate Academic Advising Office assigns a personal academic success coach to each incoming student and provides an academic success program to ensure that all students have the support they need to be successful.
  • The School of Education & Counseling provides academic advisors for its graduate students. Program Chairs serve as the primary advisor for students in education programs, and site coordinators provide additional support. The Associate Dean of Academic Advising & Field Experience provides advising to students in counseling programs.
  • The School of Business & Technology provides an academic advisor for its graduate students.

"I remember reaching out to my academic advisor hundreds of times by email and she always had a smile on her face. She always advocated for me to have tremendous opportunities."

Academic Advising for Online Students

Cambridge College online programs blend an online learning experience with personal student support. Each member of our staff and faculty maintains a focus on you, so you can focus on earning your degree.

As an online student, you will have one dedicated academic advisor to guide you through your degree. Your advisor is your main point of contact with the College and is here to assist you from your first day all the way through graduation.

Academic Resources and Support

The College provides a staff of experienced professional tutors to any student in need of academic support, accessible online or on campus. Tutoring is available in math, writing, and for general support with assignments and papers. Tutors can help you understand an assignment better, help you brainstorm topics or make an outline, give feedback on writing, guide you through making APA citations, and even read resources with you to increase your understanding and formulate questions. In addition, students have access to TutorMe, a 24/7 tutoring service that provides live tutors in just about any subject.
