Bay Path University has acquired Cambridge College, effective July 1, 2024. Over the next 18-24 months, the institutions will integrate operations while Cambridge College continues to deliver its degree programs. At the end of this period, the institutions will phase out some of Cambridge College’s programs and seek the necessary approvals to continue others at Bay Path University. Once the integration process is complete, Cambridge College will resign its status as an independent institution and will continue to exist as an entity under the auspices of Bay Path University.
All currently enrolled students who complete their course of study during the 18-24 month transition period will receive degrees from Cambridge College. At the end of the transition period, remaining Cambridge College students will have the opportunity to continue their studies uninterrupted and receive Bay Path University degrees.
Alternatively, any remaining students will also have the right to transfer to other institutions if they prefer this option instead. Students should consult the College’s website (www.cambridgecollege.edu) for a list of programs that would be compatible with the current programs offered by Cambridge College. Students are strongly advised to connect with their academic advisors and to attend any scheduled information sessions to evaluate their choices and choose the option that works best for their academic goals.
Regional Accreditation
Cambridge College is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), (formerly the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, NEASC).
Accreditation of an institution of higher education by the Commission indicates that it meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of institutional quality periodically applied though a peer review process. An accredited college or university is one which has available the necessary resources to achieve its stated purposes through appropriate educational programs, is substantially doing so, and gives reasonable evidence that it will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. Institutional integrity is also addressed through accreditation.
Accreditation by the Commission is not partial but applies to the institution as a whole. As such, it is not a guarantee of every course or program offered or the competence of individual graduates. Rather, it provides reasonable assurance about the quality of opportunities available to students who attend the institution.

Massachusetts
All of Cambridge College’s degree programs are authorized by the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education. Cambridge College programs preparing students for educator licensure are approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and are subject to its regulations and standards.
In addition to the Cambridge campus, authorized instructional sites are located in Lawrence, Springfield, and collaborating hospitals.
California
Cambridge College is a private institution, approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Post-Secondary Education.
