Online Master of Science in Business Ethics & Compliance Program Overview

Advance your career with one of the nation's only graduate-level business ethics degree programs. The Master of Science in Business Ethics and Compliance (MBEC) degree combines ethics with compliance and corporate responsibility.

Become an entrepreneur. Run a nonprofit. Train your staff. Or simply build your skills. This program allows you to customize your path with one of four optional concentrations. Best of all, you can earn this online MBEC degree in under a year and a half.

MBEC Program Highlights

Get a broad understanding of how business ethics influence corporate behavior. This business ethics degree program includes four foundation courses:

  • Culture of Ethics
  • Regulations and Regulators
  • Governance and Ethics
  • Accounting and Ethics

Learning Outcomes

It is our expectation that graduates of the Master of Science in Business Ethics and Compliance program will have developed the ability to:

  • Identify and assess the strategic, operational, and social risks faced by corporations.
  • Analyze the relevance of current and emerging regulations, laws and governance standards and effectively apply these to an organization.
  • Appreciate the respective roles and contributions to the firm in the functions of compliance, corporate social responsibility, ethics, auditing, and managerial reporting and control.
  • Clearly present problems and solutions related to ethics and corporate governance to management and the Board.
  • As a final deliverable, students will have the opportunity to execute a “real-world” project with their employer, if approved by the program chair, or complete a comprehensive compliance program for an assigned industry through a Capstone Examination that demonstrates their ability to apply the concepts learned in the MBEC program.

Prospective graduate degree students for online programs offered through Cambridge College Global must satisfy the following requirements plus any program-specific requirements your program may have.

  1. Complete and sign the online application.
  2. Pay the application fee. Pay your $50 ($100 for international students) application fee by the term start date.
  3. Send official transcripts. Maildirectly to Cambridge College in a sealed, unopened envelope. Learn How to Send Transcripts. Required degrees must be from accredited colleges or universities.
    • Master's and most graduate certificate programs require an earned bachelor's degree.
    • Post-master's certificates and CAGS require an earned master's degree.
    • International transcripts must be translated and evaluated by an approved agency. See all international student requirements
  4. Send your résumé and work experience. Send your resume that details your education and work experience, including how they pertain to your career goals. Four years of work experience is required for fully online Cambridge College Global graduate programs.
  5. Submit your personal statement. Write a 250-word, typed, double-spaced essay describing your professional experience, goals and objectives for graduate study. How do you expect your graduate studies to enhance your future career?
  6. Complete an interview. You’ll have an interview with Admissions, generally by phone.
