Background

Kathrine (Kate) Corbett is a dedicated professional with over 15 years of experience in various healthcare settings. She has worked as a senior faculty member at Cambridge College since 2016 with an expanding role into academic administration since 2018. In addition to her work at the college Kate has a private practice in Andover, MA where she provides strength-based treatment to a wide range of clients. She has the ability to connect quickly with individuals and build lasting rapport.

This strength has translated into the relationships with students and coworkers at Cambridge College. In her current role as Associate Dean of Academic Advising and Field Experience at Cambridge College she oversees academic advising for the School of Education and Counseling- Counseling Division as well as manages field experience placements and community relationships. She has worked to implement the use of Tevera, a software, worked to build the asynchronous CCG Psychological Studies program and is involved in enrollment/retention, onboarding of new students, and collaborating with admissions and enrollment services to foster departmental growth.

Kate also spent over 10 years working as a Family Engagement Specialist at The Institute for Health and Recovery, collaborating with the Department of Children and Families to support individuals impacted by substance use/abuse. It is through this work that Kate developed mastery in the field of substance use which she now is able to share with Cambridge College students through her instruction in various Addiction Counseling courses.
